Ricoh has maintained its leadership position for the seventh year running in the Managed Print Services (MPS) market, according to a report from analyst firm Quocirca.

In its Managed Print Services Landscape 2018 report* Quocirca notes that “Ricoh remains in the MPS leadership category, having effectively evolved its proposition to meet the broader digital transformation needs of its clients.” The report goes on to state that “Ricoh has developed a broad services portfolio beyond traditional MPS. Key differentiators within the portfolio are IT Services, Application Services and Sustainability Services.”

Ricoh’s MPS offerings operate under its Managed Document Services (MDS) portfolio. Ricoh works with its customers to adapt and optimise information processes to boost efficiency and address information security concerns, enabling them to tackle the rising costs associated with an unmanaged print infrastructure.

Louella Fernandes, Research Director, Quocirca, says: “Ricoh has strong production print credentials, in both hardware and software, making it a good choice for large enterprises looking for a single provider across both office and production print.”

The report also commends Ricoh’s dedication to the SMB market.

Fernandes adds: “Ricoh is actively developing its proposition for SMBs, particularly through its new WorkPlace + initiative. It is already well positioned to support SMBs looking to accelerate digital transformation, improve agility and boost business process efficiency. Ricoh should take advantage of being one of the few traditional providers to offer a strong set of products and solutions in this space.”

David Mills, CEO, Ricoh Europe, comments: “We are delighted to be recognised by Quocirca as a leader in the MPS space for the seventh year running. Providing customers with a dependable, flexible and secure service forms the foundation of a digitally empowered workplace. We look forward to helping our customers evolve further throughout the digital age as they navigate future challenges to unearth new opportunities.”
