Flint Group launches its PRISM Sustainability Platform
Leading global developer of inks and coatings, Flint Group, has outlined its plans to reduce its environmental impact under its new sustainability framework. The company’s PRISM sustainability framework includes a range of targets such as circular economy product development, reducing operational impacts, and building a diverse workforce. Plans include Flint Group’s recent commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with the company reducing carbon emissions in line with the 1.5°C scenario set out in the goals of the Paris Agreement. Canon launches first carbon neutral technical wide format papers
Canon Europe has announced the launch of Red Label Zero FSC® and Recycled White Zero FSC®, the first cradle-to-customer carbon neutral, technical wide format papers for the Architectural, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing (AECM) industry. Both products are FSC (FSC-C008945) certified and 100% carbon neutral. Red Label Zero FSC® and Recycled White Zero FSC® are EU Ecolabel certified. This means these products have guaranteed, independently-verified, low environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle. The Red Label Zero FSC® is lightweight and available in 30 varieties including ISO (DIN) and ANSI sizes. Weighing only 75gsm, Red Label Zero FSC® is available in a range of widths from 210mm to 1067mm, and in 175m or 200m roll lengths. Agfa announces new inkjet ink developments
Over the past decades, Agfa has established itself as a leading provider of high-quality and sustainable inkjet inks. The company develops and manufactures its own inks at its facility in Mortsel, Belgium, which was recently expanded with an additional ink production plant to keep up with growing demands. One of the latest developments from Agfa is the Onset 560 ink, which was developed in just six months for the Onset. This high-speed inkjet printing press with a full-width printhead system features advanced automation including robots and tackles sign, display and packaging applications at up to 1450 m²/h. Fineprint press Go for their Growing Green €250,000 investment!
David Graham, Managing Director at Fineprint, switches on the newly commissioned Triple A Solar panels, at their state-of-the-art print and packaging facility in Damastown, Dublin 15. He described signing off on the €250,000 investment deal as, “One of the most satisfying and significant moments I’ve had putting ink on paper! It’s Fineprint’s first structural initiative as part of our new Growing Green policy. We aim to grow our business, while working hard at being greener and minimising our impact on the environment.” The 550 solar panels from Veep Energy will generate circa 200,000Kw, accounting for 24% Fineprint’s power needs. Other Growing Green processes and work practices will follow on a continuous basis, to further reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
