Just three months after the delivery of the Stahlfolder SSP 82 folder which can score slit and perforate inline, Walsh Colour Print has taken delivery of a Stahlfolder BH 56. This will supplement the work of the Stahlfolder TH 82-P installed two years ago, mopping up shorter run and smaller format jobs.
Managing director Tony Walsh says: “We are replacing an older 20 year old Stahlfolder. When you have the best make of folders in the business why change? The BH 56 will supplement the work of our very successful TH 82-P and we particularly like its ability to cross-fold and its quick makeready.”
Ian Trengrouse, marketing executive for finishing products at Heidelberg, says: “Walsh Colour Print has become almost a showroom for Stahlfolder buckle machines. As a trade printer the business needs to produce top quality folds, productively and flexibly, which these machines enable them to do. Heidelberg wants to offer a partnership not just supply bits of metal and I think Walsh recognises and appreciates that.”
The Stahlfolder BH56 can produce three jobs in five minutes. It can handle work up to 560 x 900mm and paper weights of 40 to 250gsm. There is a maximum pile height of 800mm on this machine.
Walsh Colour Print is based in Castleisland, County Kerry, Ireland. It operates a 24-hour service to its customers.
